Tim Burton

Tim Burton is an American film director, producer, artist, writer and animator. He is well known globally for his dark, gothic and eccentric horror and fantasy films. As a kid I use to be fascinated by his films, as I use to love how weird and amazing it was. I have numerous books from him with all his sketches and mini stories as I use to be obsessed with his work and unique it was. Watching some of his movies helped me with my animation as he does stop motion movies as well.

You can tell that he is very passionate about his work as he puts a lot of time and effort into them, to make them perfect. One book that has helped me quite a bit with this project is called ‘Tim Burton. The iconic filmmaker and his work’. This particular book is about how he comes up with all of his ideas and how he makes his films. As it explains how his childhood plays a big part in how he does his work, and how he manipulates childhood memories into these fantastic films.Burton is probably my favourite artists and as a child I use to kind of look up to his drawings and animations, and be inspired to create my own things.
