Animation Reflection

For my primary research I looked at different types of clay animation which helped me figure out how to make my animation run smooth and not have any weird jumps. For my secondary research I looked st the history of animation and how it has advanced over the years, this helped me decide what type of animation I wanted to do. I have looked at a couple of artists in this project, like Tim Burton and Walt Disney. My initial ideas were to create a 2D animation were I would draw every single scene by hand, however this turned out to be too hard so I decided to do a stop motion animation. The techniques and processes I have used are using a digital app for my final piece and a load of sketching and clay making, which I think worked really well for me.

My final outcomes didn’t really have much influence except for my love of romances, and you could also say that my animation has been influenced by Romeo and Juliet as both potatoes die in the end. I chose the processes and techniques because I found it easier to do things that I knew I was good at. I made a few changes about my final outcomes as I was making it too hard for myself. I learnt from this project that I am actually okay at using a stop motion app. I think that my final piece was fab and I don’t think that I could have made it better, unless I had proper equipment.
