Brief Breakdown-Animation Project

The project brief that has been given to me, is to create an animation of our choice as in the unit I have to solve a time based problem. I am also expected to extend my personal visual language skills.

For my primary research, I will watch stop motion movies which should help me decide on how to create my final animation. I will also use a book about how Tim Burton’s stop motion movies are made as this will help extend my knowledge on how these animations are made.

For my secondary research, I will go onto the internet and research how animation techniques have evolved and what the very first types of animations were like. I will also do a bit of research on how to make characters move smoothly around as I think this will be a great help for my animation.

In this project there seems to be a couple of constraints, like time and creating the animation as I do not have any experience in this type of work. Another constraint could be actually come up with a story line as I am unsure on which of my ideas to choose at the moment.

The techniques and processes I will use are sketching, clay making and using a digital app to create my final outcome.

Project Deadline- Friday 13th April 2018. I will roughly spend 6 weeks on this project.
