Nets are a flat two dimensional shape, which contains score lines and when is folded and glued together forms a three dimensional shape. Nets are often used for packaging items such as tissue boxes. When a net is made, it is important that there is some symmetry. All the opposite edges must be equal so when you fold them together they are the same length. Nets will also need flaps or tabs, on the outside edges which will be glued on the indies of the shape. Nets that are made in industries are printed out in patterns as it creates less waste, which is better for the environment and costs less.
