Reflection

I think that both primary and secondary research was a big help for me in this project as it helped me come up with brand new ideas, that I probably wouldn't have been able to come up with without research. However, I think that secondary research helped me the most because it allowed me to see bug containers that you couldn't buy in shops around here. But primary research was great as it allowed me to be able to handle it and look at it properly, which is good as i can see the actual dimensions instead of guessing. I think that the techniques and processes that i have used were successful. The clay making part of it was quite tricky at first as it was a new experience for me, however I soon got the hang of it. One problem that I did have was trying to make the bug container mostly recycled plastic. this was quite hard for me as i was unsure on how to make my ideas a reality so i decided to go with clay sculpting. Overall I think that this project was one of my favourites as there was more freedom on what to choose and make, which was very good in my opinion as it also let us show our individuality's on the way we look at stuff.

For my final piece I chose to create a bug container that could also be used as some kind of doll, depending on what the child wants to use it for. So basically its a two in one, which in my opinion is great as children will see it as a friend/companion instead of a boring bug container.

I think that my final piece has been very successful as I have never really used clay before and, in my opinion i think that it turned out alright.
